Crafting Legislation and Response for Vexit

Vexit is now well underway, to get “red areas” of Virginia to secede out of now liberal Democrat-controlled Virginia:

As the article at https://www.wdtv.com/content/news/Falwell-and-WVa-governor-pitch-Virginia-secession-plea-567367231.html?fbclid=IwAR3ry4zI3Sjft2ALscc8TtTfuCgI0NXW1K7GRtCrxgCTXZ9j87XhlZ8GCGY explains: "...Falwell said lawyers have told him counties in Virginia would first need to conduct petition drives. Then a referendum would be held, and if successful, the proposal would go before Virginia’s General Assembly. Rick Boyer, a Virginia conservative activist attorney and former local elected official, is helping with the so-called “Vexit” push. He said a growing movement of conservative Virginians is serious about leaving a state that he said doesn’t respect their rights. “This isn’t street theater, we fully intend to do everything we can to see it through,” Boyer said."

The great challenge, once referenda pass in “red” counties, is to get Virginia’s General Assembly to pass it.  Both houses of the Assembly have a Democrat majority, but not by that much: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virginia_General_Assembly .

The likely key to overcoming this great challenge is renewing an old “unholy alliance” of conservative Republicans and African Americans, an alliance described in articles like https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2003/12/08/the-great-election-grab .  The truth is that neither ordinary Anglo-Americans nor ordinary African Americans win with the liberal Democrat playbook, but only an elite few win. The “unholy alliance” can break this playbook to the benefit of ordinary Anglo-Americans and ordinary African Americans.  The Virginia Legislative Black Caucus (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virginia_Legislative_Black_Caucus ) combined with the Assembly’s Republican legislators make a majority with room to spare.  Legislation thus needs to be crafted which will help both achieve their political objectives.  Here are the outlines of a possible bill:

1.       Allow counties in Virginia that pass referenda seceding from Virginia and joining West Virginia to do so within the dates of ____ and ____ .

2.       Re-name the State of Virginia to the name “Obama”  (or some other name selected by the Virginia Legislative Black Caucus).

3.       Adopt “Lift African American Tax Credit” to be paid from State of Obama budget for the next ten years, which would reimburse Federal and State taxes (including payroll taxes) paid by African Americans that are citizens of Obama with Federal Taxable Income below $40,000, up to a maximum of $_____ / year.

4.       Invite all districts south of the Mason-Dixon line and east of the longitude through Austin, Texas to join the State of Obama if they pass referenda to secede from their current State and join the State of Obama within the dates of ____ and ____ .

It should be noted that with the State name of “Virginia” thus vacated, West Virginia (with its new red counties) would have the option of naming itself “Virginia”.

To combat resistance to this plan, once referenda have passed but until there are the votes to pass in the Virginia Assembly, conservative Virginians should conduct pro-secession marches throughout Virginia, including and especially in “blue areas”, with the Richmond Rally having served as a good precedent.

If this partition were to work well, it would set a good example for “red areas” in other “blue States” like California to leave them and join with neighboring “red States” like Arizona:

So here are some “blue States” where “red areas” within such “blue States” should leave now and join neighboring “red States”:

1.       “Red areas” of Virginia join West Virginia

2.       “Red areas” of California join Arizona

3.       “Red areas” of Washington and Oregon join Idaho

4.       “Red areas” of Nevada join either Arizona, Utah, or Idaho

5.       “Red areas” of New York join Ohio

6.       “Red areas” of New Mexico join Arizona or Texas

7.       “Red areas” of Colorado join Wyoming

8.       “Red areas” of Minnesota join North or South Dakota

9.       “Red areas” of Illinois join Indiana or Missouri

With Brexit as a model, using local referenda to pressure political change, the long term goal is to partition the “blue areas” out of a restored confederated USA of Anglo-American Patriot States, under the Articles of Confederation (America’s first constitution that was unadvisedly and illegally abandoned).  This confederated USA can have partitioned out of the USA those liberal “blue areas” in a sea of “red areas” that remain part of the USA, such as illustrated here:

As the movement progresses and gains more support among rank-and-file Republicans, then it is to be hoped that the mainstream Republican Party will get on board and even take over the effort, just as the Tory Party in Britain took over Brexit.
