THE US PRESIDENT QUESTION by J. Parnell McCarter
We are often asked, “who will you vote and support
for US President?” But this question
assumes we believe having a US President is wise and expedient. I am persuaded America needs to scale back
from a multicultural empire to a nation again (declaring its foreign
territories, Indian reservations, etc. fully independent and sovereign nations, partitioning them
off from the American nation). But even
with such a scaled back America, in my opinion it still is too diverse to hold
together with the sort of federalist central government envisioned in the US
Constitution. Rather, it would be wise
to return to a confederation model. It
was under such a confederation model while under its Articles of Confederation ( see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Articles_of_Confederation
). As under the Articles of
Confederation, there would not even be a US President and the concentration of
power that typically comes with such an executive.
But far more important than this is that the nation,
along with its states and localities, “kiss the Son” and follow Him according
to Biblical principles. In so doing,
America should return to its Biblical Protestant Christian roots, and shun the
whorish Babylonian model it has come to champion. We must be a reformed Protestant Christian
nation again (for American history begins in 1607, not 1776), along the lines
envisioned by our Pilgrim and Puritan forefathers. This is the example we should set for the
other nations in the world.
