Dear Georgetown Township Board,

Congratulations to members of the Board for your election victories!

You are starting a term which may prove most challenging in our nation’s history. When one considers the information that Pres. Trump’s legal team has presented (see
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/watch-live-trump-campaign-path-victory-press-briefing) , along with significant information available at such websites as https://100percentfedup.com/ and https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/ , the evidence is substantial that there was significant fraud perpetrated by the Democrat Party in the recent election. The mainstream media has been trying to obfuscate, but information is nevertheless getting out. It happened by a combination of old-fashioned ballot-stuffing in large urban areas and programmatic rigging through Dominion Voting Systems.

There is also significant evidence that the Democrat Party will not get away with this fraud, but that the courts and law enforcement will uncover the fraud and seek to arrest the perpetrators. Pres. Trump is shrewd and Rudy Giuliani is expert at prosecuting crime. We can be thankful for that. However, we should also expect there to be a massive counter-reaction given the size of the Democrat Party. Our Ottawa County police force is simply too small to address what might erupt. Even if the National Guard is called up, which will be likely, there still may not be enough to respond adequately. But even if this does not happen, and Biden becomes President, Antifa lawlessness combined with centralized tyranny of the Biden Administration support the need for enhanced Township protection.

The Second Amendment of the Federal Constitution, along with the Articles of Confederation constitution which preceded it, provided a legal means of protection from both organized criminality like Antifa as well as centralized political tyranny like the Democrat Party has hoped to install nationwide. This was citizens’ militias under the authority of and regulated by local and state governments.

The Articles of Confederation required citizens’ militias for every State, and hence for every locality: “... every State shall always keep up a well-regulated and disciplined militia, sufficiently armed and accoutered, and shall provide and constantly have ready for use, in public stores, a due number of field pieces and tents, and a proper quantity of arms, ammunition and camp equipage.”

The Second Amendment (along with the other Bill of Rights) reads thus: “A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

My request of the Township Board is that it would start to put such in place now in our Township. It is both constitutionally and practically important.
