TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

I would like briefly to summarize some of my findings documented in various books and articles, which I think may be especially timely now.  I should quickly emphasize that these findings are tentative, and do not constitute my firmly held beliefs on the order of the Biblical doctrines of the Westminster Standards.  Rather, they are my **educated guesses** which I believe are highly plausible, and time will reveal whether they are true or not.  (Especially with respect to the timing of future events, guesswork rises significantly.)

 

I believe the chronological history of the world is as follows (plus or minus one year)*:

 

3967 BC – beginning of the first millennium of world history

 

2967 BC – beginning of the second millennium of world history

 

1967 BC – beginning of the third millennium of world history

 

967 BC – beginning of the fourth millennium of world history (culminating in the resurrection of Jesus Christ)

 

34 AD – beginning of the fifth millennium of world history

 

1034 AD – beginning of the sixth millennium of world history

 

2034 AD – beginning of the seventh millennium of world history (“the millennium”)

 

 

Before “the millennium” beginning around 2034 AD, I believe there will be a period of special tribulation, of duration equal to “time, times, and half a time”.  This is the period which begins as we read in Revelation 17:16: “And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.  For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. “  The beast here is the Beast of the Seven Hills, as we read in Revelation  17:3,9: “…a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads…The seven heads are seven mountains…”   This Beast is the Romish papal kingdom.  It was this same kingdom that was instrumental in the creation of the USA, having worked with Roman Catholic France and Spain to fund and support the American Revolution.  That is why it would make sense that the Babylonian whore (who I believe is the USA) rides on the back of the Romish Beast, as we read in Revelation 17:3:  “…I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns…”   So I believe the Babylonian whore who is described in Revelation 17 as being lifted up and later brought down by the Romish Beast with the “ten nations” is the USA.  Even though this mysterious Babylonian whore rode on the back of the Romish Beast (Rev 17:3), the Romish Beast in cooperation with the “ten nations” eventually work to bring her down (Revelation 17:16). 

During this period when the Romish kingdom would come back into dominance, it would supplant the mysterious Babylonian whore as the preeminent power in the world.  Romish dominance during this period would likely be characterized by the sort of suppression of Biblical (Protestant) Christianity experienced in the Middle Ages until its significant weakening by the end of the Reformation.

 

So we read in Revelation 17 how the Romish Beast of Seven Hills and the “ten nations” eventually effect the downfall of “Babylon”.  And my guess would be that the reference in Revelation 16:19 to the division in three parts of Babylon represents civil conflict among the three major segments of the American populace: the whites, the blacks, and the Hispanics.  The fall of “Babylon” is accompanied by worldwide stress and war, even as we read in Revelation 16.  Armageddon would essentially be World War III.  “The kings of the east” released upon Babylon (see Revelation 16:12) may refer to various eastern nations and entities which work towards the destruction of the USA, including Iran, China, Russia, Al-Qaeda, etc.  But it would ultimately be the Romish Beast of Seven Hills in league with the “ten nations” that ultimately seals the coffin of “Babylon”. 

 

The USA well qualifies for the descriptions of “Babylon” in Revelation 18: “…For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies…The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her…Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness!...”  Revelation 17:4 describes her this way: “And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication.”   Some may question how the USA is guilty of the murder of the people of God, referenced in Revelation 17:6.  But it must be kept in mind that Satan is subtle.  Better than putting a people in gas chambers, require them to teach evolution as truth in their public schools and force them to have legalized abortion.  That is a lethal combination enforced by the US federal courts upon the 50 states of the Union.   That people which comes to think they are evolved by chance from slime will naturally be given over to murder, given the depravity of man.  The genocide of abortion in the USA even outstrips the genocide of the Jews in Nazi Germany.  In addition, secularist government – of which the USA has been the model in the modern world – has resulted in untold suffering of mankind, including many unnecessary wars.

 

The Romish Beast helped to raise up the secularist USA to undermine Biblical Protestant government, and I believe the Romish Beast in league with many nations may well bring her down in the not too distant future.

 

 

 

* This chronology assumes that Jesus Christ’s resurrection occurred in 33 AD, such that what has been termed the “Messianic Era” by Jews began around 33-34 AD.   (See article at http://www.puritans.net/news/millennium041707.htm .)  In some books and articles I have indicated the 5th millennium of world history probably began in 33 AD, while in others 34 AD.  Somewhere in that time range is as close as I can guess at this time.

3.  I think the EU will become the next world superpower, and the Euro will become the world's reserve currency, after the USA and the US dollar have fallen.

4. And then I think the EU will recognize the Pope as their spiritual leader and guide, "for God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled." (Rev 17:17)

Just a guess, but I think things are moving in that direction.
