THE FREE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF SCOTLAND’S
RESPONSE TO WORLD WAR I
For those of us interested in understanding the Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland better, historian James Lachlan MacLeod offers another valuable resource. (He already provided us one on its inception in the Second Disruption, described at http://www.puritans.net/bookreviewseconddisruption.htm .) This time it describes the church’s response to World War I. His work appeared as an article (http://www.puritans.net/news/FPCSinWW1.pdf ) in an academic magazine called Bridges. Information about the magazine and an abstract of the article is available at http://www.bridges23.com/archives/vol12_1_2.html . We encourage its review.
