In order to understand the Roman Catholic Church, one must look below the surface denunciations of abortion and sodomite marriage, and see what sort of moral filth is being promoted by the Church.  Let me simply give you one example from my home state of Michigan.  We have in this state an order of nuns called the Immaculate Heart of Mary sisters.  This order of Catholic nuns sponsors Detroit's Marygrove College.  But they sponsor a lot more than that.

For example, the nuns help out Dignity Detroit, a sodomite activist group.  As noted at the Dignity website http://www.dignityusa.org/ , “DignityUSA works for respect and justice for all gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender persons in the Catholic Church and the world through education, advocacy and support. “  They have weekly Mass at the nuns’ Marygrove College (http://www.dignityusa.org/local.html#mi ), as well as other Catholic institutions throughout the country.

The “good” nuns are even so kind as to provide a place for the sodomites to hold their Valentine’s Day dance, and it does not seem to bother the “good” cardinal either (see http://www.detnews.com/2002/religion/0202/14/d01-416299.htm ):

Diocese won't try to stop gay gala

By Kim Kozlowski / The Detroit News

DETROIT -- Cardinal Adam Maida "will not get involved" in a conservative effort to get a Valentine's Day dance for gays cancelled by Saturday -- even though some say the event violates the directive of Pope John Paul II.    The 8th Annual Sweethearts Ball for the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Community is a fund-raiser that has been held for seven years at Marygrove College, a private Catholic college in Detroit…

And the nuns’ kindness is not simply limited to sodomites; it extends to abortionists as well (see http://www.detnews.com/2002/religion/0202/14/d01-416299.htm ):

September 7, 2004

The Immaculate Heart of Mary sisters, the blue-robed nuns who have educated legions of Catholic children in southeastern Michigan, donated $200 to Emily's List, which raises money for Democratic female candidates who support the right to have abortions…
