“THE WORLD’S A STAGE”
By J. Parnell McCarter
“All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players.” That is a line from playwright William Shakespeare’s play “As You Like It“. It expresses the philosophy of life entertained by many of the world’s wicked rulers.
Both the early Christian church and most of the reformed churches
of the Protestant Reformation rejected drama and playacting, calling it
wicked. Playacting works on deception,
and someone pretending he is something he is not in fact. It also means men must act evil, which is
not wholesome or good. Ultimately it
undermines the cause of truth itself.
As F. Tupper Saussy documents in his book Rulers of Evil,
the Jesuits historically have been masters of the stage, and of using the stage
to undermine truth. They even take the
stage outside the realm of the cinema and the theater, and into the realm of international
politics and the world. They often pretend to be what they are not. And they often make things seem to be what
they are not. In international politics and the world, the rulers of this world
“take counsel together”, often even when they act as if they are at great odds
with one another. The Battle of
Yorktown between Mason Cornwallis versus Masons Washington and Lafayette is an
instance when playacting probably best describes the roles of these leaders. And their script was probably written by the
Secretary-General of the Jesuit Order- the same Jesuit Order which had
infiltrated freemasonry years before.
With regards to the American Revolution in general, the man known as the “Perpetual Secretary of
the Continental Congress”, Charles Thomson, is recorded as saying: “If the
truth were known many careers would be tarnished and the leadership of the
nation would be weakened.” (Hendricks, Charles
Thomson and the Making of a New Nation, p. 189.)
Applied to the modern “world stage”, we should even question
whether certain rulers are the arch-enemies they appear to be to the
public. Are many of them perhaps not
allied under the Vatican in their war to thwart Christ’s rule? For example, are Sharon and Arafat really
enemies, or are they rather men who “take counsel together, against the Lord
and against his Anointed”, while yet appearing to be at great odds? In Appendix 1 of my book Let My People
Go, it is noted that Yassar Arafat is Masonic and that Yitzak Rabin was
Masonic. There is solid evidence
suggesting that many of the secular Zionists are Masonic, like Rabin. What about Bush versus Bin Laden? There is compelling evidence that the Bush
and Bin Laden families actually have close ties. What about even Bush versus Saddam Hussein? It was the CIA that installed Hussein in a
coup, armed him, and was ostensibly on good terms with him during the 1980s. We
have an article at Puritan News Weekly documenting the corrupt business
deals between Hussein and Bush. Was the apparent breach of the 1990s for real
or high drama, in which many citizens on both sides have been used as
pawns? In World War II the Vatican was
greatly responsible for raising up Hitler’s Nazi regime, yet at the same time
the Vatican was on close terms with the Franklin Roosevelt Administration (the
same Franklin Delano Roosevelt
who was made a Mason November 28, 1911, in Holland Lodge No. 8, F. & A.M.,
New York, New York and became a 32nd degree Mason). Marxists like Castro seem to be great
enemies of the U.S., yet there is some good evidence to believe Castro is
Jesuit (as we have documented in articles at Puritan News Weekly), while
at the same time Jesuits have a significant influence and presence in U.S.
government. And what about the apparent
rivalry in U.S. national politics between the Bush and Clinton families? At Puritan News Weekly we have
submitted evidence that links both families as cooperating in the illegal drug
trade. And both families have ties
through freemasonry and the Roman Catholic Church.
So what would be the
motive for such playacting by rulers on the “world stage”? Perhaps this: if the rulers of this world appeared as
united against the Lord and against his Anointed, their position would be far
more vulnerable. And the people would
not naturally appreciate the Pope and Black Pope sitting in Jerusalem ruling
the world, which is their end game. But
in the context of war and strife, they are able to achieve their ends so long
as people are deceived. But even more
fundamentally, the rulers of this world who thwart Christ’s rule are children
of their father, the Devil. Deception
and playacting is his specialty.
And now back to William Shakespeare and his play. William Shakespeare’s works have all the
marks of being Rosicrucian in orientation.
Indeed, some have even suggested that his plays were written by the
Rosicrucian Francis Bacon. As
documented at Puritan News Weekly, Rosicrucians had a plan for the U.S.
as their New Atlantis, because they knew God’s word had given them this
opportunity in history in the mysterious Babylon of Revelation 17-18. But just as the mysterious Babylon of
Revelation 17-18 is described as coming to an end, so must their
playacting. Even they know that, as
recorded in the play “As You Like It”:
The "melancholy" Jacques speaks these lines just before Orlando brings the good old man Adam on stage…: |
Jacques:
All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first, the infant,
Mewling and puking*
in the nurse's arms.
Then the whining schoolboy, with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress' eyebrow. Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths and bearded
like the pard*,
Jealous in honour, sudden and quick in quarrel,
Seeking the bubble reputation
Even in the canon's mouth. And then the justice,
In fair round belly with good capon*
lined,
With eyes severe and beard of formal cut,
Full of wise
saws* and modern instances;
And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts
Into the lean and slippered pantaloon*
With spectacles on nose and pouch on side;
His youthful hose, well saved, a world too wide
For his shrunk shank, and his big manly voice,
Turning again toward childish treble, pipes
And whistles in his*
sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion,
Sans*
teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.
(As You Like It, 2. 7. 139-167)
[Notes]
According to the Oxford Dictionary, this is the first recorded use of "puke" meaning "to vomit." Previously the word had been used to mean a dignified dark brown colour. Not surprisingly, once the new meaning took hold, the previous meaning disappeared rapidly; its last recorded use was in 1615 (As You Like It was written in about 1598). (Return)
Bearded like the pard
As hairy as a leopard.
Capon
A capon was a castrated rooster; the capon was considered a delicacy, and may well have been used to bribe officers of the law.
"Wise saws"
Well-tried proverbs (clichés perhaps), contrasted with modern precedents. The judge is in more than one way well-rounded.
Pantaloon
A reference to the figure of Pantalone in the Italian Commedia dell' Arte tradition. The Pantalone was a foolish figure, made fun of by the other characters.
His
The use of "its" for the neuter possessive pronoun did not become normal until late in the seventeenth century; "his" here is therefore generic in meaning.
Sans
Without (Jaques is affecting some courtly French).
