CHINA AND THE USA: WHAT IS GOOD FOR THE GOOSE, IS GOOD FOR THE GANDER

The people of Hong Kong spoke in recent elections, and they stated they want local democracy over centralized nation government Marxist control: https://www.spiked-online.com/2019/11/26/hong-kong-has-chosen-democracy/ .  The Chinese of Hong Kong would have no problems joining a confederation of Han Chinese States which offered the State of Hong Kong sovereignty, but they are not too keen on being under the tyranny of the centralized Marxist empire of China.

Can there be any doubt that if Tibetans or the Uighurs of Xinjiang got to vote, they would want nations of their own separate from China, instead of the current centralized Marxist repression: https://www.newstatesman.com/world/2019/11/what-chinese-are-doing-uighurs-xinjiang-could-become-model-elsewhere .

Would it not be best for China to partition out of China the non-Han Chinese areas like Tibet and Xinjiang, and then to become a confederation of Han Chinese States, with Hong Kong being one such State? Each such State could have its own elected government.  Many Westerners likely would agree this would be a positive political development.

But if that is true of China, what about the USA?  Is what is good for the goose, not good for the gander as well?

Why should not the USA partition out its “blue areas” and return to being a confederation of Anglo-American patriot States under the Articles of Confederation?

We can pray for the restoration of a confederated USA of Anglo-American Patriot States, under the Articles of Confederation (America’s first constitution that was unadvisedly and illegally abandoned), with America’s first national flag (the Continental Colors or Grand Union flag) as the symbol of our enterprise:

This confederated USA can have partitioned out of the USA those liberal “blue” areas in a sea of “red” areas that remain part of the USA, such as illustrated here:
