Letter to Jared Taylor dated 04-02-2023
April 2, 2023
Dear Mr. Taylor:
Please accept the enclosed contribution for American Renaissance. Thank you for the efforts of your organization to inform people of certain important racial realities. We differ though in how these realities came about (the Biblical account or a Darwinian evolutionary account of them). I agree with the Biblical view originally held by the colleges we attended, Yale and Princeton, and the Yale alumnus who was a bridge between the two, Jonathan Edwards.
I also want to make you aware of an effort to amend the Michigan constitution, as succinctly described in the enclosure. An organization is being formed in Michigan (Michigan Alliance of Christian Anglo-American Electors) whose membership requirements seek to follow the requirements for an elector in the state’s territory according to the Articles of Confederation (the original Christian constitution of the USA which was illegally abandoned) and the Northwest Ordinance of 1787:
1. Profession of the Christian religion
2. Anglo-American (i.e., white American) [equivalent to the term “free inhabitant” in the Articles of Confederation, as well as in the Northwest Ordinance of 1787]
3. “Of full age”
4. Male inhabitant of Michigan
5. Seeking the objective of this Alliance and solely by legal, peaceful processes, and not a pauper, vagabond, or fugitive from justice.
The book Protestant Nationalism Proffered: Path for US Revival, available free online at http://www.puritans.net/protestant-nationalism-proffered/, outlines the Biblical basis for this effort. The issue of whether the USA will be a Christian nation after the model of Old Testament Israel or a modern day Babel is ultimately a religious and spiritual contest, and not simply a political one.
While modest in its beginnings, its related Facebook Group I co-moderate, “Return to the Articles of Confederation”, does enjoy a membership of around 800 presently. As a Presbyterian Calvinist, what really matters to me is not how many people currently agree, but whether God agrees. If He agrees, then He will turn a handful into a multitude.
Sincerely,
J. Parnell McCarter
