Dear Ottawa County Board and County Clerk:

The USA began as a covenanted Christian constitutional republic, under the Articles of Confederation, our original constitution. The military backbone of the USA was intended to be the state and local citizen militias of the several states regulated by the state and local governments, and not a standing army of a central government, which is why the Articles required the states to maintain such: ” ” This view is why the Second Amendment of the Federal Constitution says that “a well regulated Militia” is “necessary to the security of a free State.”

Patrick Henry and other antifederalists warned that political tyranny would be inevitable in the long term should the USA illegally abandon our founding constitutional principles. They presciently foresaw that an imperial oligarchy would develop, and the Christian constitutional republic would fade.

The restoration of our Christian constitutional republic by peaceful, legal means should be a top priority of all of us. In Jesus Christ’s own words, “seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Some important steps include:

1. County leaders adopt Second Amendment sanctuary resolutions, as has already happened in large swaths of the State of Michigan – see https://sanctuarycounties.com/category/states/michigan-states/

2. County leaders implement County supported and authorized citizens militia, under the regulation of the local and State governments, such as has happened in a number of counties in Virginia
